Dorothy J. Pulliam
Dorothy has spent more than 34 years working professionally in the education and counseling field as a teacher, director, counselor and consultant on marriage and family issues.
She holds a Master's Degree in Education and Counseling and from the University of Alabama, and is a lecturer, speaker and consultant oh career choices/management, career progression, marriage, children issues, family life, and matters of the heart. She is a retired guidance counselor for the Department of Defense.
She served the church as Women's Sunday Teacher, President of the Youth Department, Intercessory Prayer Warrior, President of the Ministries' and Deacon Wives' Circle, President, Young Women Christian Counsel, Hospitality and Usher Board Member, and District Missionary. She was founder of the first Christian child Development center, Daleville, Alabama. Many children and families have been blessed and led to Christ through these outreach ministries. She presently serves as Jurisdictional Supervisor for the Department of Women, Church of God In Christ, Inc., Alabaman Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. She also works diligently along side her husband as First Lady, Light Of The World Ministries, Chief Operation Officer of Light of the World Ministries, and Little Lites Christian Child Development of Human Resources as a member of their Family Coaches Program, and Preparation for Employment Program (PREP). Both programs are mentoring programs.
Dorothy has been married to Reverend M. Earl Pulliam, Pastor of Light of the World Ministries for 35 beautiful years. During their marriage, they have been blessed with two children, M. Earl Pulliam II and Toria Denise and four grand children.
Southern Early Childhood Association, Lower Alabama Association for Young Children, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Disabled American Veteran-Auxiliary (DAVA) and Zeta Phi Beta sorority. Mother Pulliam's approach to any issue is one of commitment, consideration and dedication to "Putting You First".
